A Wild Canadian Lynx And A Cameraman Develop An Amazing Relationship

After more than two months of filming, “The Wild Canadian Year” team, captured a first. It was footage of a Canadian wild Lynx hunting a snowshoe rabbit. Everyone knew that this was going to be one of their most difficult shoots. Up for the challenge was Canadian cameraman Sam Ellis, who went to the Yukon to see if he could film these elusive animals.

With some amazing camera work and expert tracking we see up close how a male Lynx was learning to trust Sam and feel at ease in his presence. This unique relationship opens a window into the world of the Lynx and this is something that no-one has ever seen before. Sam named the Lynx Max and said that it was the best time of his life.
