Cat Proves a Lifesaver for an Owner Who Has a Sudden Heart Attack

Sam Felstead is a big cat-lover from the UK who recently shared a heart-warming story. She says that she owes her life to her cat Billy. Sam believes that Billy saved her from certain death after she had a sudden heart attack in her home.

According to Felstead, if it wasn’t for Billy, she would have been dead for sure.

A True Lifesaver

Who says cats aren’t as smart as dogs? Just ask Sam Felstead who now owes her life to her cat Billy. Not long ago, she would have died in her sleep from a heart attack if Billy didn’t jump on her and started meowing as loud as he could. It woke her up and she realized she couldn’t move the right side of her body. She called for her mother who took her to a hospital where doctors told her she just had a heart attack.

They also said it was only a matter of time before she lost her life. She got to the hospital in the nick of time, and can thank Billy about it. Sam felt nothing in her sleep, but the cat obviously spotted some concerning body language to jump on her and meow. According to feline behaviorist Lucy Hoile, Billy picked up changes in her behavior, reacting to the unusual situation. He was probably anxious about it, and jumping on her was his reaction of calming down. So, he saved her life for sure, but Hoile wouldn’t go that far to say he did it on purpose.

One way or another, Billy helped his owner get help just in time. It may have been a case of being in the right place at the right time, but regardless, Sam survived because of him, so he deserves a medal. Or a big bowl of treats at the very least.
