Destiny can be pretty strange sometimes. For some it can be pretty ugly, and for others, it can be a real pleasant surprise. It was surely kind to one abandoned kitten who managed to get adopted in Walmart.
While the majority of abandoned kittens are rescued from shelters, this one was adopted in Walmart by chance. A month ago, a woman called Annie went into the store looking for Christmas decorations. What she didn’t know is that she would get more than she bargained for.
A Stroke of Luck
While Annie was looking for decorations, she spotted something that looked like a tiny kitten with the corner of her eye. She immediately called the staff and asked about it. They said that the kitten was dumped in the parking lot, but kept sneaking inside. They had no idea how long it was in there.
Annie decided to take matters into her own hands. She bought a can of food and fed him. The kitten was obviously very hungry. For the next hour, she tried to get it to trust her. After a lot of work, she managed to leave with groceries, decorations, and the kitten in her car.
She fed it once again at home, gave it water to drink, and bathed the cute critter too. It started trusting her more and more. After a few hours, the kitten went to sleep. He was pretty tiny and who knows how his story would have ended if it wasn’t for Annie. After a trip to the vet, she decided to keep him forever and named him Wallie.
We’re glad Annie was in Walmart at the right place and the right time, or Wallie’s destiny might have been completely different.
