A New Environment: Overcoming Fear

In the beginning, Teak was deeply afraid of humans. His fear was so intense that he refused to eat if anyone was in the room. But after a month of patience and kindness, Teak began to show signs of trust. “Today, I was finally able to pet him (without a hiss!) and snap a few pictures,” Karyn shared on Facebook.

Building Bonds: Teak’s Progress

As time passed, Teak began to forge connections with the other sanctuary cats, showing further progress in his emotional journey. Karyn noted, “Ok so we all know that Teak is a lover. He’s usually Velma’s boyfriend. But lately, he’s been absolutely taken with the newest cat, Shabadoo.”
